Father's Day
This is Lilly! She's a 6 week old Bassett Hound puppy that the boys and I bought for Rusty for Father's Day.
With us getting ready to move, we've had to make the painful decision to leave our big dog Jake behind with my dad. He needs more room to run and certainly doesn't need to be on a major road like where we are moving to.
So, since the husband is losing "his dog" we thought it only proper to get him a new one.
Just don't tell him that Lilly is more for Maggie (our little dog that will be moving with us) then him. I think Maggie will suffer separation anxiety far more then we will.
Isn't she adorable?
And he wanted to name her sparky, speedy or dawg! Can you EVEN believe THAT?
Pfft!
Guess who won that battle? tee hee

We have a chocolate lab, we just love him to death! It must be painful to leave Jake behind, hope the new puppy can cheer Rusty up!

It's growing more painful at the thought of leaving Jakester behind. So much so that I went to PetsMart yesterday and bought him enough doggie treats to last a year or better :) Hopefully the doggie friends on the corner will be enough to make up for the lack of the other doggies being gone.
