What Makes You Feed A Blog?

When it comes to finding blogs that turn me into a returning visitor and loyal reader, there are a few things a blog MUST have in order to get me to keep coming back.

They must be updated regularly. If I visit a few times over the course of a month and it's not been updated, I remove it from my reader.

A blog must present something new - An occasional copy of an article is ok, but seriously, how hard is it to copy a portion of an article and comment on it with your own opinions.

People who don't have the ability to form an opinion on their own should not blog.

I also like to find the occasional interjection of humor. Make me laugh and I'll love you forever.

Keep in mind that many of your readers are still on dial-up. If your blog takes a long time to load, I'm not going to hang out and wait. I just keep on clicking.

Those are really the biggies for me. I enjoy reading on such a wide variety of topics, so topic isn't so much an issue. Content is!

What makes you want to add a blog to your feed reader? What can bloggers do to keep you coming back?

This topic was brought up on Business Blogwire and thought it was worthy of mention here. So many people think slapping up a blog and just providing WORDS is all it takes to become a blogger. They couldn't be further off base.

Don’t be fooled by all the hype. It is too easy to think someone knows what they are talking about. Sometimes, just because a website charges for it’s information, it makes the information seem more important. There are very few secrets out there and if someone you don’t know has them for sale chances are they really are not secrets. That is the beauty of the internet. When you find a website offering a particular product or service chances are after a short time surfing the web a free version can be found. It does take time to develop the skill to dive deeper into diverse subjects but you will find the knack. When looking for opportunities to make money online be aware that the bigger the hype the bigger the long term expense. It always seems real inexpensive, then once you have made the commitment the small expenses keep adding up. Any website offering immediate changes to your financial well being are stating the truth, It is up to you to decide wether the changes are more money or less money in your accounts. I have learned that nothing comes for free. You must expect to pay for information and ideas that you can then turn into money. The majority of offers are only out there to get your money just one time. Then they hope you forget about it and you are never heard from again. There are the success stories which tell us of how Jim said goodbye to his boss and is now working at home and making more money and spending more time with his family. Thousands of people are making millions of dollars every day on the internet. What do they all have in common? A great idea and an even greater work ethic. You see there is no short cut or easy way. Your commitment to working on your decided internet career is the only determining factor in your achieving success. The people that you pay online for products or ideas are simply multiplying what has already worked for them. To the experienced web business owner a new prospect or affiliate is nothing more than a number. Each prospect is either the super affiliate or one of the numbers in between. Busy people will not try to make you a super affiliate hoping that the process will sink in. Becoming a super affiliate is all up to you. Ask questions of your up line, Find out what had worked for them and what is working now. New ideas that work well are rare only because the millions of people making money online today have already done them. They have done all the hard work, now they just duplicate what had worked over and over again. This where the magic happens, people who want it bad enough will work hard enough and ask questions of those who are successful and put it all together to create a web empire. The true beauty of the entire process is that once you have done all the hard work, It begins to run itself. The amount of time you spend on your web business will decline while the amount of money generated keeps growing. It might seem wrong to spend less time but it actually gives others in your downline the opportunity to find their super affiliates. You will actually have time to enjoy the fruits of your labors. Invest, Travel, Help others less fortunate. If we approach life and our web business with determination backed by knowledge and humility there is nothing you or I can achieve.
