Do You Get Discouraged?
What have you found to be the most discouraging factor in blogging?
I'm curious as to what some people are finding to be the most difficult in a way that perhaps I can focus on those topics and how to combat them one at a time over the next several weeks.
So what is it? What gets you down in the blog?

Stats is one of the surest ways to get you down. Try to refrain from watching them so closely. Perhaps commit to once a week or even twice a month.
I get discouraged when my family and friends don't support me. I sometimes get tired of hearing "there you go with that blogging crap" They think because I haven't made anything from it, then why bother. I don't understand why it bothers them. I love to blog and will continue even if I never make a penny. I have the gift of gab.
Ginene ~ People tend to criticize the things they don't understand. Even if this isn't true -- I'm going to be a real parent in how to tell you to view it...
Tell yourself this:
They are just being angry or testy about your blogging because they feel like an idiot because they can't do it themselves :)
Chin up girl -- there's plenty of us bloggers out here that will support you.
Hugs

I echo what's being said here with regard to stats. I try not to let it get me down, but it's hard not to. The whole point of my blogging is to reach out and share what I've learned and to learn from them.
That's why I get so excited when someone posts a comment or I see a new avatar show up on MyBlogLog in my sidebar. At least I know someone is paying attention.
I mainly become discouraged when I've submitted my blog to a paid to blog site and it is declined because it's not popular. I'm trying almost everything that I can think of and read about to boost my blog's pagerank with google. That has become pretty important for me right now. I'm a stay at home mom of 2 and my goal is to be able to make extra money from my blog every month.
