Web sites judged in a blink

Via CNN - Internet users can give Web sites a thumbs up or thumbs down in less than the blink of an eye, according to a study by Canadian researchers.

In just a brief one-twentieth of a second -- less than half the time it takes to blink -- people make aesthetic judgments that influence the rest of their experience with an Internet site.

It's probably a good idea to consult a friend of relative and encourage their honest opinions on the appearance of your website or blog prior to launch or promotion.

Let them know that complete and brutal honesty is what you are looking for.

I have a close friend in another part of the country that I rely on for this type of help. Having them check the links, the location and more is well worth the time it takes to ask to avoid loss of visitors.
