Affiliate Marketing Programs
Though I am unable to reveal exactly how much I make from each, I will give you an “idea.” Revealing such information would be a breach of the terms of service for many of the affiliate programs I have selected for my own sites.
You’re going to find there are so many programs out there and at times it can get just a bit overwhelming, trying to figure out which ones work and which one’s don’t, who actually pays, who doesn’t and so forth. So what I’m going to do is share with you the ones I’ve found to work over my 7-8 years of working from home in hopes that it will cut out a great many headaches for you and place you in the position to begin making money.
All I ask is that when and if you do choose to sign up for any of these programs that you do so through the links I provide. I will earn $1.00 to $1.50 off most referrals while others I can earn on average 5% of my referring affiliates revenue for a full year.
I’ve always made it my own policy to find programs I wish to apply to and then search for a work at home parent who has an affiliate link through which I can sign up. I know I won’t make them wealthy, however, if they provide a site that I enjoy visiting, I think it’s only proper that I sort of tip them in a similar way that I choose to tip a good waitress for quality service – after all every little bit helps.
Keep in mind that each program I recommend will have an very nice
Without further ado, here are the programs I personally recommend –
Contextual and Banner Ad Programs -
Google Adsense
Of course my absolute favorite is Google. Google has been a primary source of income for me for just over a year now. With the check I receive from Google each month, I could easily pay a nice house payment here in Central Indiana with no problems whatsoever.
Google is consistent with their payments and have recently started offering direct deposit, which I absolutely love. I’ve never had the first complaint!

ClickBooth
There are a few highly successful websites I monitor to see what affiliates they work with. Although those sites are in a completely different category than my blogs, I feel they know enough about making money online to justify my own signing on with some of their affiliate partners.
After giving careful consideration to one particular affiliate and seeing the net results within mere days of placing their ads, I have to say Clickbooth is a HOT one that shouldn't be overlooked.
They have opportunities for any type of web publisher from gambling to health oriented. If you've got a niche topic, I'm sure they've got an affiliate for you. Check out ClickBooth and see what profits await you too!
Adbrite
Adbrite offers a great way to buy and sell advertising space. With Adbrite I typically generate enough income in a month to pay for one weeks worth of groceries which feeds a family of 4 (two 12 year old growing boys and one man plus myself) – need I say more?

Commission Junction
I've been averaging between $200 and $300 per month with CJ and every single month like clockwork the money is deposited in my account. No worry, no hassle and that's worth a great deal when you think about trying to keep track of all the affiliate programs.

Shareasale
Shareasale.com offers a great opportunity for those who are looking to run recruiting type sites. Shareasale is giving $150 for each merchant signed up through your links. And, when you provide a link just as I have shareasale.com gives you $1.00 for each qualified affiliate that signs up through your links.
Within Shareasale, you’ll find a wide variety of merchants to promote. The merchants that have joined up with Shareasale offer everything from pay-per-click and pay-per-sale to pay-per-lead. So no matter what your target is, you’re sure to find at least one merchant that fits your niche.
My earnings with Shareasale are consistently enough to pay my phone bill. Keep in mind my mother lives in Canada and I am long distance from the world.

Linkshare
Linkshare offers affiliate opportunities to over 500 merchants. Some of the larger named merchants include Target, Overstock.com, Hallmark, H&R Block, Western Union, Hickory Farms and more. It was the very list of reputable merchants I am familiar with and trust that helped me in the decision to join this program. With Linkshare, I generate enough income to pay mine and my kids cell phone bills.

Gayla,
I tried your Sharesale link, and it's not working. I signed up under your Linkshare and will be back to check on Sharesale.

One Serious WAHM
Great idea Gayla! I think more WAHM's should share which affiliate programs are working for them and which ones are not. I'm adding to my "to do" list to link back to this post and share some of my own affiliates that are working for me. Who knows.. maybe this will turn into a "share your affiliate solutions" trackback or carnival of sorts, eh? :)
Sounds like a carnival to me :)
Gayla, I have a question about CJ. You can advertise their affiliates with your blog? I had read in the terms and conditions that this was not allowed...Vista Print is switching from Bfast to CJ and I was told I couldn't switch with them because my site is a blog. :(
How long have you been with CJ and which merchants are you using lisamommy?
Great info Gayla! Can you use both Google & Adbrite on the same website?
Just found your blog. Great info! Thanks for sharing!
