The Prizewinner of Defiance, Ohio

This morning I spent a great deal of time reading about a remarkable woman named Evelyn Ryan.

In the 50's and 60's this woman with 10 children, kept her family home from being foreclosed upon and her family finances just outside the grip of poverty by entering and winning contests.

Talk about inspiration and perseverance!
